Dr. Petska is originally from Grand Island, Nebraska and earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. After falling in love with optometry while working in an optical clinic throughout college, she attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Petska graduated summa cum laude from optometry school in 2017 following the completion of rigorous clinical externships at renowned ophthalmology and optometry practices in the Kansas City area. She has practiced optometry in a variety of different office settings and communities over the last several years which has allowed her to gain experience in many areas of her field.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two rescue dogs. She is married to a fellow optometrist and has a son that keeps them on their toes! Dr. Petska also enjoys working on home improvement projects, listening to true crime podcasts, or chasing her active toddler around the park. Being a working mother is the greatest joy of her life.
