The Nebraska Society of Dispensing Opticians held its first annual Operation Eyeglasses event on Sunday, April 28, at the Omaha Fire Fighters Hall. Over 80 residents from the Open Door Mission and the Sienna Francis House were provided a free eye exam and a pair of glasses. Several ilumin employees and family members volunteered for this event, helping to check in and screen patients and assisting in the selection of their glasses.
The physicians of ilumin also provided free frames for the residents and a monetary donation to help fund the lenses for the glasses.
